Girls, let's start Monday morning with something to dream about! :)

Giving the fact that there are -20 degrees Celsius in Bucharest and this weather's been going like this for a week, and one more to come, I thought that we could all have something nice to think about. What could be warmer, besides a lovely hug, a hot bath, than the thought of so many shoes and bags to choose from?

Giving the fact that maybe not many of us have this privilege yet, I thought of something: tonight, when you come home from work (being Monday and right after the weekend) maybe you're just not that into doing something like going out. Let's reorganize our accessories closet: get all of your shoes out, sort them by color, style, heal etc. and also get all of your bags together, from all those hidden corners we throw them in when we get home. Place them all together, in that closet you assigned for them, so that tomorrow morning, after you wake up, drink your coffee, check out the weather (hoping that you live/are in a warmer place than Bucharest these days), you can open your freshly reorganized accessory closet and have a pick, match or create contrast, combine in a funky style the two important pieces, a must-have for a fashion-preoccupied lady like you and I.

I am sure that during this process you will discover pieces that you had forgotten about, that you hadn’t ever thought of combining in such an interesting way or you hadn’t worn in a while.

Have fun! And this would be an interesting idea to share: your reorganized closet, the accessories you have chosen and combined!

cheeky and daring social campaign

I wanted to share with you a social campaign started by the Menchester City Council which targets youngsters. What makes it special and different is its boldness because the developed visuals are cheeky and daring giving the fact that the campaign is about sexual health.

The communication director of the city council’s in-house agency, Craig Green declared: "Getting the tone right was vital. I really didn't want to alienate our audience by being too authoritative, so I went for really playful imagery – a kind of visual pun designed to grab attention and raise a smile. I wanted it to be a bit cheeky, but not offensive; something teenagers would notice and talk about."

The main message of the campaign intends to boost condom use and reduce sexual transmitted diseases.

The posters promote the Any Plans Tonight website where you can find more information about the campaign, a website which acts as a guide for contraception and sexual health in Manchester.

Did you know that depending on different cultures, the ways of preparing a cup of tea are very different?

In some cultures you must add the tea leaves in a specific order, or in others you could be very restricted to whom you should serve the tea first. Also, served with milk or lemon could be another question and so on.. Therefore, depending on different cultures, there are many ways on how to serve or prepare tea.

Anyhow, the most important thing, wherever you come from, there is a way of how to be sure that your cup of tea will be divine and complete your senses.

First of all, a good cup of tea starts from boiling the water. The best way of doing it is putting a kettle on to boil, not using a water dispenser to heat the water or other conventional / more modern means. Using a tea kettle to boil water has a plus: it will give you that warm feeling which reminds you of your childhood and your dear mother preparing things for you in the kitchen.

Next step, after the water is hot enough, you should use the tea. Most likely, you will use a teabag which is more practical and surely at your disposal. But if you really want to enjoy your tea in the more old-fashioned way, I suggest losing some tea leaves into the water, rather than using tea bags. This way your will have the opportunity to use delicious-cute tea pots, decorated in lovely ways.

Nowadays the market is very generous and you will most definitely find at least one for your taste. Returning to our discussion, after adding about half a teaspoon of tea leaves, leave them for five to ten minutes (depending on your desired strength of the tea). Pour the tea into your cup (and your guests' if you consider sharing it with friends) using a strainer to keep leaves from falling inside.

Serving the tea is another important step in your ceremony.

If you like adding milk, you should know that you must pour it into the tea cup before adding the tea. Also you may prefer some honey, brown sugar or a zip of lemon.

As you know, there are lots of varieties of tea. Depending on your taste you can choose green, white, black, oolong, herbal, organic tea.

Green tea leaves are withered and steamed, giving the tea a fresh flavor closest to the taste of the leaf itself. It contains the most antioxidant compounds and has many health benefits. Varieties of green tea include Dragonwell, Chun Mee, Idulgashinna, Hojcha, Gunpowder, Sencha and Matcha.

White tea comes from the bud of the plant rather than the leaf and is, like Green Tea, unfermented. The buds are withered and air dried producing a light, clean and slightly sweet cup of tea. White varieties include Bai Mu Dan, Fujian, Silver Needle and Tribute Eyebrow.

Black tea leaves are fully fermented, they are the most processed and therefore the most intense in flavor. Recommended for those who are into a more intense taste. Varieties of black tea include Assam, Ceylon, Darjeeling, Keemum, Lapsang, Souchong and Yunnan.

Oolong teas are semi-fermented and fall somewhere between a green and a black tea in intensity. The color is a golden brown and the smoky floral flavor finishes clean and smooth. Oolong varieties include Green Oolong Pouchong, Qing and Ti Kwan Yin.

Herbal tea offers unique blends featuring Mint, Chamomile and other herbs all naturally caffeine free.

At the end, to make your experience complete, your ceremony should be accompanied by the sweet taste of some tea biscuits. My suggestion, bake them yourself. The smell of them in the hot oven in this cold weather will make you feel warmer inside and closer to the winter holidays. I was thinking again about the weekend! What a surprise :))

Did you had the chance for that shopping day with your best friend, that we were talking about some days ago in the "Close-up weekend - ship & fun" post?

Today is Monday again and I think that everyone of you is a little indisposed. This is why I was thinking of how to sweeten this not very much liked day of the week: mischievous Monday.

How about a light and tasty dessert that I found on www.cevabun.ro?

Cheese cake with chocolate chips and strawberries

It’s a simple cake, easy to make, spectacular and tasty. Prepared without baking, based on fresh cheese and sour cream in which chocolate chips are frisking, decorated with fresh strawberries, this cake is ready to make a good impression on your guests. So I suggest inviting your best friends over for a better effect on your Monday mood.

What do you need:

1.4 kg of fresh cheese (cow)
400 ml sour cream
6 to 10 tablespoons powdered sugar (depending on how sweet you want your cheesecake to be)
2 sachets of vanilla sugar
3 tablespoons of gelatin
100 ml of milk
3 tablespoons of chocolate chips
20 strawberries (in this time of the year, you will probably not find fresh ones in the supermarket; if so, you can buy frozen strawberries)
250g of digestive biscuits
2 tablespoons of sugar

and finally..

50 grams of butter

From my point of view, a visit to the nearest supermarket will just do. The ingredients are not at all hard to find and for me, this is a plus! I don’t like having to search for rare ingredients in 3-4 different supermarkets. I found it to be a waste of time and energy. This is one of the reasons I picked this recipe.

Let’s move to the next step, the preparation, not hard at all, done in about 45 minutes and remember! without baking!

First of all, you should prepare a tray with detachable walls. Then, crush the biscuits and mix them with powdered sugar and melted butter. Pour the biscuit mixture on the bottom of the tray and smooth it gently with the back of a spoon. Put the tray in the somewhere in a cold place (today is freezing :) so you can put it outside your window, but don’t forget to cover it with a plastic foil).

Boil the milk, take it from heat and dissolve gelatin in it. Mix the cream cheese with the sour cream, vanilla sugar and the powdered sugar (depending on your taste).

Next, mix the cheese with cooled gelatin. Incorporated with a spoon, stirring gently, the chocolate flakes.

Remove the tray from the refrigerator, lubricate the inside edges with a little bit of oil and pour the mixture over the dough cake. Level the cake mixture in the tray and decorate with strawberries.

Insert the tray to cool for at least 2.5 hours before serving aaaand voila!

Because it is only Tuesday and the weekend seems far away, I thought about making it seem closer. How? Let's daydream about what we could do on a Saturday afternoon, why the next one?

After a late morning and a tasteful & healthy breakfast, call your best friend for half a day of girlish fun.. shopping!

Let's imagine that Saturday will be a sunny day and even if not, you have to make sure that you will make it seem this way. Pick up some playful colors from your closet and mix them with the creativity of a child. Have fun wearing them and make the people around you smile (it will boost your energy!).

Visit your favourite boutique shops, which represent your style and where you are sure that you'll find some must-have items. Avoid malls. Everybody is there on weekends, it is crowded and you can barely breathe. Try going by foot as much as possible between your favourite boutique shops. It will be good for your health and mood.

Done shopping? 6:00 pm already? Make time for one more stop! A book shop! Buy something for your soul, a favourite writer or that book recommended by that friend of yours (with the best suggestions) which you marked in the notes section of your phone and abandoned there. It will be perfect on those lazy and cold afternoons with a cup of tea and tasty home made cookies.

Now you're good! :) Before ending the shopping experience, get your girlfriend and indulge yourselves with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. You can serve the tea at Carturesti, Verona Cafe, listening to some good music or, if it has gotten cold outside, you can get warm at the boutique restaurant Chocolat with a sweet cup of hot chocolate.

Doesn't that sound nice? I hope the weekend feels closer now and you expect it with more enthusiasm and creative, relaxing and fun ideas on how to spend it!

Romanian billboards.. does them seem effective to you? Do you have one in your mind right now? Probably not!

I remember one, on the highway (A2), that gave information about where you can practice parachuting. I rememberd it because it contained information that interested me. I also remember the ones in a political campaign with figures that are promissing alot, but not doing anything good :)

Înțelege viața în roșu

Saptamana aceasta colegii mei sunt implicati intr-o campanie care ne este tuturor tare draga, o campanie care ne-a ajutat sa intelegem mai bine ce inseamna un hemofilic si de ce are nevoie de ajutorul nostru, ”Înțelege viața în roșu”.

Pe foarte scurt, hemofilia este o boală cu care omul se naşte şi trăieşte toată viaţa, se caracterizează prin lipsa unui factor de coagulare (VIII sau IX), fără de care nu se poate forma cheagul de sânge eficient pentru a opri o hemoragie. Este o boală vătămătoare de viață. Decesul poate surveni în urma unei pierderi masive de sânge.

Am aflat că hemofilia se manifesta doar la băieți și este ereditară. Există mai multe grade de severitate, în funcţie de nivelul de factor de coagulare, clasificate în forme uşoare, moderate şi severe. Formele severe de boală sunt cele mai grave, iar primele sângerări apar la copilul mai mic de un an.

Se poate muri şi de la o banală extracţie dentară nesusţinută cu tratament antihemofilic

Boala se manifestă prin sângerări încă din primele luni de viaţă, mai accentuat odată cu primii paşi, când apar primele vânătăi. Sângerările pot apărea oriunde în organism. Articulaţiile şi muşchii sunt cele mai frecvente locuri unde se produc hemoragiile. Pe măsură ce sângele umple articulaţia (genunchi, glezne, coate) aceasta se umflă, devine dureroasă şi nu mai permite deplasarea. Este însoţită de dureri atroce şi pacientul rămâne imobilizat la pat până se intervine cu tratament. De asemenea, pot apărea sângerări la nivelul abdomenului, în creier, ochi, rinichi, ficat, splină. Se poate muri şi de la o banală extracţie dentară nesusţinută cu tratament antihemofilic. Diagnosticul de certitudine se pune în centre de înaltă specializare prin dozare de factori de coagulare.

Fără tratament, sângele curge, și curge…..

Când nu există tratament, sângerarea pur și simplu nu se oprește. O zi în roșu este o zi în care nu există tratament și sângele curge, şi curge…… Iar personalul medical, oricât de bine pregătit ar fi, nu poate alina suferinţa copilului și nu poate alina durerea mamei doar cu mâinile goale.

Dacă beneficiază de tratament corespunzător în cantitate suficientă, hemofilicul are șansa la o viață normală în toate aspectele ei: școală, familie, loc de muncă și chiar carieră. Desigur, totul se face cu sacrificii și multă atenție față de menținerea unei stări de sănătate mulțumitoare. Având un loc de muncă și plătind taxe la stat, hemofilicul nu devine un asistat social! Este un om pe picioarele lui căruia statul, ca în cazul oricărui alt cetățean, este obligat să-i asigure accesul la tratament.

În caz contrar, având o stare de sănătate mereu instabilă, hemofilicul nu-și poate finalize studiile, are dificultăți în obținerea și păstrarea unui loc de muncă, îi este foarte greu să-și întemeieze o familie și își pierde utilitatea pentru societate.

Hemofilicii visează să vadă viaţa în culori normale!

Bolnavii de hemofilie nu vor pensii speciale, nu vor ajutoare de handicap, nu vor însoțitor, vor doar o viață în culori normale. Vor să se integreze în societate, să aibă o familie, să fie utili. Să nu mai fie văzuți ca fiind altfel.

În perioada 11-17 aprilie, ANHR organizează campania “Înțelege viața în roșu!” pentru a marca Ziua Internațională a Hemofiliei, serbată anual în 17 aprilie. Vreme de o săptămână, ANHR pregătește o mulțime de surprize bucureștenilor care vor trece prin zona Piața Universității în intervalul orar 15.00 – 17.00.

Marți, 12 aprilie, trecătorii se vor întâlni în stradă cu echipa campaniei care va explica tot ce trebuie știut pentru a înțelege viața în roșu.

Miercuri, 13 aprilie, facem primul pas către a înțelege o zi din viața unui bolnav de hemofilie. Echipa campaniei pregătește surprize în zona Piața Universității, pe care nu trebuie să le ratați.

Joi, 14 aprilie, ora 16.00, bucureștenii sunt așteptați în zona Fântânii din fața Facultății de Arhitectură pentru a participa la manifestul campaniei. 1800 de baloane roșii, câte unul pentru fiecare hemofilic din România, se vor îndrepta către cer, purtând speranțele pentru o viață normală ale bolnavilor. Vino alături de noi pentru a sprijini visul hemofilicilor de a duce un trai normal.

Vineri, 15 aprilie, o echipă de artiști vine în stradă să ne explice în felul lor cum arată o zi în roșu.

Sâmbăta, 16 aprilie, ANHR ne îndeamnă la joacă alături de maeștrii în jonglerie.

Duminică, 17 aprilie, campania se încheie pe muzica copiilor minunați din grupul Allegretto care, după ora 11.00, vor oferi un recital extraordinar în zona Fântânii din fața Facultății de Arhitectură. În aceeași zonă, între 11.00 și 13.00, cei mici se pot bucura de pictură pe față, baloane, origami și alte jocuri și jucării propuse de echipa ANHR.

Astazi m-am simtit indragostita! :) De job-ul meu!! Nu stiu daca se traduce in workaholism, daruire, pasiune si nici nu este important. Ca iubesc ceea ce fac pot spune oricand, dar nu apuc tot timpul sa simt fluturasii din stomac. Adrenalina e o componenta a "indragostelii", pe ea o simt adesea. Astazi insa parca a fost o zi din aceea in care te reintalnesti cu niste colegi dragi din liceu si rascoliti nostalgici trecutul, realizand ce bine va era impreuna si cate nebunii faceati. De obicei, natura umana se bucura de lucurile importante abia dupa ce nu mai sunt. Astazi insa am avut ocazia sa am un sentiment complet de bucurie ca si cand as fi fost nostalgica, norocul facand insa ca eu sa vorbesc despre prezent. Cred ca intr-o propozitie simpla s-ar traduce usor: "Astazi m-am bucurat de prezent!". Si m-am bucurat mult!

Fac parte dintr-o echipa. Suntem bine sudati. Echipa este deseori familia mea :) O altfel de familie. Sunt niste oameni cu care ma simt excelent. Invatam unii de la altii, ne certam, pierdem nopti impreuna, facem misto unul de celalalt, avem divergente, petrecem, muncim ..

Ce este foarte frumos este ca.. la fel ca intr-o familie, ne pasa foarte mult unul de celalalt. Ne cunoastem de ceva vreme, nu suntem nici foarte multi si asta poate ajuta, interactionam destul de des si ne stim bine si cu bune si cu rele. Prin urmare, mi-e foarte drag sa vad cum ne incurajam unii pe ceilalti, ne sprijinim, ne menajam, ne ajutam.. Cel mai frumos este sa privim si in urma si sa vedem cum crestem. Fiecare dintre noi se schimba, se metamorfozeaza, progreseaza. Asta ca rezultat al interactiunilor dintre noi si a ceea ce facem impreuna ca si echipa.

Astazi am vazut in timp real cum "ne-am mai inaltat 10 cm" :) Astazi ne-am oprit putin si ne-am bucurat. Ne-am rezervat ziua de astazi doar pentru atat: Enjoy the moment! Am crescut mult de cand am privit ultima oara pe fotografiile din trecut si-am crescut frumoooosssss.. Si nu sarbatorim o cifra exacta! Dar sa ne traim! Day by Day :)

Frate, trebuie sa scriu un post despre vuvuzele astea ... neaparat, si sa il pun si "tag" si "lable" sa imi ridic vizibilitatea in google :)) ca vad ca e de mare actualitate! De 3 zile imi sare cuvantul asta in ochi una-ntr-una in lumea world wide web si.. recunosc, pana acum 3 zile habar nu aveam ce naiba e aia o vuvuza. Acum .. nu stiu daca o fi campionatul mondial responsabil de asta sau postul lui Bendeac :)) Dar deja il vad si pe Mihai Morar pe FB cu vuvuzele, DoR ne trimite printr-un link catre un post dedicat pe acest subiect: Vuvuzela!, da-i un search pe google si gasesti "Aproximativ 4.680.000 (de) rezultate (0,08 secunde)". :)) Fenomenal!! Vuvuzela are the new sunglasses of Ray-Ban aviator in World War II :))

Si cum se cade.. ar trebui sa urmeze un scurt istoric al Vuvuzelor (imi tot vine sa le zic Vuvuzete - cred ca suna mai frantuzesc si mai simpatic). Pai ... prietenul Wiki zice ca aceasta vuvuza se mai numeste si "lepatata" si provine din Africa de Sud. Este la origine o trompeta de aprox. 1m lungime folosita pe stadioane de catre suporteri in timpul meciurilor de fotbal. Actualitatea sa provine din faptul ca anul acesta, in timpul Cupei Confederatiilor la Fotbal din Africa de Sud, FIFA a primit multiple plangeri din partea mai multor televiziuni europene care au solicitat interzicerea vuvuzelor pe stadioane la Campionatul Mondial contemporan :)) din cauza zgomotului produs. De asemenea au fost plangeri si din partea jucatorilor, cum ca vuvuza ingreuneaza comunicarea si concentrarea "la locul de munca".

Asadar, foarte controversata aceasta vuvuzela! A fost asociata cu pierderea auzului .. dupa principiu "consumul excesiv de vuvuzela poate dauna grav sanatatii", cu faptul ca indicile de evacuare in caz de pericol nu mai sunt auzite de catre suporteri pe stadion si, de asteptat, faciliteaza raspandirea virusurilor mai mult decat tusea si stranutul. S-au facut si studii mai serioase, astfel incat s-a demonstrat ca sunetul produs de o vuvuza ajunge la 127 de decibeli! Prin urmare, a trebuit sa fie limitat (ca viteza la masini) si din 14 iunie a iesit pe piata un nou model ;) care scoate cu 20 de decibeli mai putin .. deci l-au limitat la 100!

Si ca sa incheiem cu istoricul :)) vreau doar sa mai mentionez (tot de pe wiki) cu ce a fost comparat de cei deranjati, sunetul produs de vuvuze (nu de alta, dar e funny rau). Si avem:

- pe locul 1: "a goat on the way to slaughter";

- pe locul 2: "giant hive full of very angry bees";

- si mergem mai departe: "a deafening swarm of locusts";

- si nu la fel de creativ si amuzant, dar de mentionat: "a stampede of noisy elephants";

- iar pe final incheiem apoteotic cu comparatiile si reproducem ca sunetul este "satanic" :)))) - atribut dat de comentatori.

Pana una alta, chiar daca vor interzice vuvuzele pe stadion in timpul CM 2010, sunt sigura ca microbistii (si nu numai, chiar si fake-urile cu pasiuni de moment) vor continua sa sufle in ele cat pot de tare prin pub-urile si terasele de unde pot viziona in harmalaie, atat de masculin meciurile. Pentru mine, o domnisoara rafinata :)), trebuie sa recunosc ca intr-o oarecare masura este incitanta adunatura aceasta de barbati, ingramadeala aceasta de testosteron, conexiunea intre reprezentantii sexului tare si manifestarile in formele cele mai brute si mai bastinase ale masculilor (feroce - in fantezia asta a mea). Toate cu o limita (de bun simt), evident .. Si fiti serioase, macar cu voi inseva: si voua va placeeeee :)

Pe final, mi-a placut mult ceva ce am gasit pe un blog sud african: "The vuvuzela reminds us that soccer is a black and working-class sport in a country whose cricket and rugby teams, among the best in the world, are still very much the extension of a privileged and mostly white sports infrastructure."

Astazi m-am lamurit in reluare. Cred ca "dl." (ca nu il mai pot considera) era singurul PDL-ist dintre cei mediatizati pentru care mai aveam o urma de respect si apreciere. Cu siguranta acum a fost dovedit ca asta se intampla poate doar printr-o empatie a varstei si a tineretii, a aparentei diplomatii. Ei bine, "spectacolul" de aseara a fost de exceptie si ma bucur sa vad ca intr-adevar in aceasta perioada multe masti cad si o gramada de lucruri ies la suprafata. E ca dupa furtuna.. Poate si la noi furtuna a trecut (o fi ramas doar furtuna clasei politice) si acum nu culegem roadele, dar macar descoperim cauzele catastrofelor :) Rusine Cristian Boureanu!

Mi-a placut reactia Gabrielei Vranceanu Firea, extrem de personala si feminina si nu o spun cu rautate. Mi s-a parut absolut uman sa fi reactionat astfel.

Curiosii pot urca pe o scara si isi "introduc" capul in fundul sculpturilor unde pot viziona un scurt-metraj in care doi politisti cehi se hranesc unul pe celalalt pe melodia "We are the Champions"

Sculptura este din Praga, are o intaltime de 5.2m si dateaza din 2003.

Cred ca a provocat multe controverse. Din cate am inteles a trebuit data jos tocmai din acest motiv. Poza este din 2002, locatia este necunoscuta, iar despre statuie se spune ca ar fi avut 10 m intaltime, ceea ce e cam greu de crezut comparand-o cu cladirea de care este prinsa.

Ideea este dezarmant de simpla: Doua sculpturi de bronz fac pipi intr-un spatiu comun. In timp ce mictioneaza, cele doua sculpturi se misca realist. Un mecanism electronic este condus de doua microprocesoare care rotesc partea superioara a corpului in timp ce penisul se misca in sus si in jos. Jetul de apa scrie citate celebre apartinand unor personalitati din Praga. Vizitatorii pot intrerupe aceste citate trimitand mesaje la un numar de telefon afisat langa sculpturi. Astfel, statuile vor scrie textul mesajului transmis de vizitatori.

Vizitatorul le poate întrerupe prin trimiterea mesaj SMS de pe telefonul mobil la un număr, afişate lângă sculpturi. Statuia lui de viaţă, atunci "scrie" textul mesajului, înainte de desfăşurarea ca înainte. "

Si daca-i la moda ce? E trandy de ani de zile pentru ca atat ea, cat si echipa din spate stiu foarte bine ce fac. Asta mi-a venit asa .. referitor la faptul ca uniunea compozitorilor romani are un proiect de lege pe care doreste sa-l propuna, proiect care impune posturilor de radio si TV romanesti sa difuzeze in proportie de 80% muzica romaneasca. Mentionez ca in momentul de fata se promoveaza mai putin de 20% si mie personal tot mi se pare mult! Eu inteleg patriotismul si promovarea valorilor nationale si chiar mi se pare mai mult decat firesc. Dar ce sa promovam???! Asa ca hai sa consumam produse romanesti si sa fim nationalisti, dar sa lasam penibilul pitit undeva bine, nu sa il promovam. Iar muzica romaneasca va fi ceruta in procent de 80% de public in momentul in care va reprezenta o valoare.

Pana una alta, hai sa vedem un pic un artist, nu doar pentru ca e difuzat pe toate posturile, ci pentru atitudine, expresie, modelare, fizionomie, pasiune ... si sa observam diferentele!

In procent de 180% eu as vrea sa vad pe posturile romanesti prestatiile de mai sus si promit sa cumpar inghetata romaneasca si pantofi de la fabrica din Lugoj!!!

Din categoria lucrurilor altfel (pentru ca tot lucrez la un proiect care are ca si concept ideea "make the difference") mi-a atras atentia un pasaj dintr-un articol pe care-l citeam asta seara in Forbes.

"In lipsa activitatii imobiliare, prin octombrie 2009, Nimrod Zvik si jorn Hauge, ambii directori in cadrul fondului specializat pe achizitii imobiliare din Romania Invest isi explorau latura feminina :) :

La o petrecere a Be Igloo, firma de vanzari a fondului, cei doi se imbracau in rochii si defilau pe o scena spre deliciul angajatilor lor. Pana aici, nimic iesit din comun (ei nuh!) pentru corporatistii secolului al XXI-lea. Surpriza a aparut atunci cand pozele cu cei doi imbracati femeieste au ajuns in casutele de e-mail ale ziaristilor. Nu, nu au fost trimise de vreun angajat nemultumit, ci de catre departamentul de relatii publice. "Momentul respectiv face parte din strategia noastra de promovare. Vrem sa aratam ca suntem altfel" spune acum Nimrod Zvik, directorul de marketing al Be Igloo, organizatie care a vandut din ianuarie 2009 si pana acum 60 de apartamente din cele 800 de unitati existente in portofoliul fondului norvegian."

Cu siguranta in conditiile pietei imobiliare din perioada ianuarie 2009 si pana in prezent, 60 de unitati vandute sunt o performanta. Ceea ce ma pune pe mine pe ganduri: explorarea laturii feminine sau eficienta departamentului de vanzari si calitatea produsului vandut au facut diferenta in volumul vanzarilor? Sunt adepta abordarilor neconvenionale, insa cea de mai sus imi pare exagerata si cu tendinte spre ridicol.

Ce-ar fi sa ne purtam lenjeria intima peste pantaloni si sa observam o crestere a volumului vanzarilor? :))

Casuta eco-mobila cu turbina eoliana si panouri solare

In concediu, in loc sa stai la hotel, poti sa-ti iei o casuta ecologica mobila la 30.000 euro. Se transporta cu trailerul, "consuma" numai aer, soare si apa de ploaie. Aceasta este una dintre noutatile targului de mediu.

Nu mai stai la hotel in vacanta. Nici la cabana. Iti iei o casa mobila ecologica si ai rezolvat problema cazarii. Are 20 de metri patrati, terasa de 6 metri si nu consuma nimic. Isi ia singura tot ce-i trebuie din natura, de la soare si de la vant, prin panouri solare si turbina eoliana. N-are roti, dar pot fi puse, la comanda. Altfel, sta foarte bine pusa direct pe sol, cu conditia ca suprafata sa fie plata. Altfel, s-ar balansa casuta cu tine. Daca vrei sa o plimbi dintr-o parte intr-alta e simplu; chemi un trailer sa ti-o transporte. Casa mobila costa 30.000 de euro, se comanda in Romania printr-o firma si, peste o luna, iti vine din Croatia, tot prin firma respectiva.

Intr-un spatiu cam cat o garsoniera au loc: un dormitor, living, baie, o bucatarie cu aragaz, dulap, minifrigider, masa cu scaune, chiuveta, farfurii, pahare si tot ce mai trebuie intr-o bucatarie obisnuita. Dormitorul are doua paturi suprapuse cu saltele, baia are dus si toaleta, iar livingul - un mic televizor si un spatiu de odihna. In plus, casuta mai este proiectata si cu un spatiu de depozitare. Terasa se vinde cu paravan impotriva vantului si set de masa cu patru scaune. In tot acest spatiu au loc berechet doua persoane. In cazul unei familii, se poate comanda o casa mai mare.

"Se poate face una de 27 de metri patrati, plus terasa. Sau una de 36 de metri patrati, ori una si mai mare. In cazul ultimei, pretul ar ajunge la 52.000 euro, cu transportul inclus. Si cea de 30.000 euro are transportul inclus in pret. Se poate plati si in mici rate, sa zicem un 30% la avans, 40% la livrare, iar restul, dupa inca 30 de zile. In general, pretul si termenul de plata sunt negociabile", ne-a explicat Marcu Robu, directorul firmei care a adus casa si in Romania.

Apa de ploaie filtrata, buna la dus sau la bucatarie

Containerul mobil mai este dotat si cu un colector ecologic pentru apa de ploaie, precum si cu un sistem de filtrare a acesteia. La final rezulta apa curata de o poti folosi la dus sau la spalatul vaselor. Energie electrica de la priza nu exista in casa mobila. Televizorul, frigiderul, aragazul, calculatorul si boilerul sunt alimentate de curent produs de turbina eoliana fixata pe acoperis. Daca intr-o zi nu prea e soare, nici vant, tot nu ramai in frig sau in intuneric. Casa e dotata si cu un generator pe benzina de 4,7 kw. Peretii sunt facuti din niste panouri izolante, foarte usoare, din acelea folosite pentru containere. Celulele voltaice au putere maxima de 2.000 W, bateria solara - de 530 amperi pe ora, iar invertorul de tensiune (alimenteaza grupul de baterii) are 60 amperi.

Casuta e buna in camping sau ca punct turistic

Exista case mobile si mai ieftine: la 10.000 sau la 20.000 euro. Sunt la fel de mari ca si prima, numai ca nu au atatea utilitati, iar "sursele de energie sunt standard". Perfect ecologica este numai varianta de 30.000 euro.

"Casa este noua, numai de anul trecut, facuta in Croatia cu fonduri de la stat, impreuna cu guvernul si cu universitatile specifice. Asta, pentru a promova energiile regenerabile. Chiar a fost testata de studenti vreme de cateva luni; stateau cate doi in ea in jur de doua saptamani", a adaugat directorul Marcu Robu.

Convince a Skeptic

This is never an easy conversation, but don't be intimidated. First of all, you'll never have to debate a "professional" global worming skeptic. Those for-hire scientins are kept on lavish oil rigs in the Gold of Mexico, where energy executives shower them with gifts of exotic perfume and rare fruit.

Instead, most skeptics you encounter will be people you know well, perhaps even members of your own family, friends, coleagues. The good news is, their objections are easy to demolish (haha), as demonstrated next :D.

Let's rock!!

1) Be patient, really listen to where they're coming from and above all, remember: you are absolutely right.

2) "Global warming? Scientists can't even agree on whether warming exists or how it might work if it does." they might say..

Virtually every credible scientific organization and study has concluded that the Earth is heating up and that higher CO2 levels affect global temperatures.

3) All this so-called "proof" comes from computer programs and hypothetical projections. There's no real-world evidence of current climate change.

Climate scientists have been keeping accurate records of surgace temperature for the past 150 years and those records definitively show that the Earth is getting hotter - a conclusion that's supported by data gathered from ice cores, satellites and weather balloons.

4) Then how come the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets are getting bigger? If global warming were real, they'd both be shrinking.

Actually, overall, both are shrinking. Greenland's ice sheet loses 48 cubic miles of ice per year. The amount of ice in certain areas may be increasing, but that's because global warming leads to global moistening and the extra precipitation freezes and becomes ice where it falls. The bigger point: global warming is a shift in climate patterns over a span of several decades, not day-to-day change.

5) Fine, but if global warming leads to milder winters, better farming, and longer summer vacations, why fight it? It sounds pretty good.

Rising sea levels, stronger hurricanes and more frequent droughts don't sound good to me. The real concern is how quickly we're making the climate change. Rapid shifts don't give species (including Homo sapiens) time to adjust and we are not only heating up the Earth to the highest temperatures in human history - we are doing it faster than ever before.

6) But carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas. Humans might have nothing to do with the increase.

I've heard the claim too. It was in an oil industry - funded ad that proclaimed, "Carbon dioxide: They call it pollution, we call it life." Each year, the burning of fossil fuels results in more than 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions worldwide. CO2 levels are higher today than they've been at any point in the last 650.000 years.

7) Even if global warming is real, we can’t stop it without ruining our economy and cutting millions of jobs.

Recycling is already a $50-billion-a-year industry and within 10 years solar power is slated to generate $69 billion a year. They are plenty of opportunities for making money while reducing CO2. The Industrial Revolution got us here; there's no reason that a Green Revolution can't get us out.

Incepand cu aceasta luna, avem o noua colega la Roddia.

Madalina Marica are o bogata experienta in finante dar si in marketing experiential (doar si-a facut scoala la Roddia) si va ocupa postul de Project Manager. Pe langa faptul ca e mereu vesela, tonica si optimista, Mada imbina rigoarea cu exuberanta si creativitatea. E mereu la curent cu ce e nou in domeniu, e curioasa si implicata si ii place sa comunice asta pe blogul ei: http://www.maydaybyday.blogspot.com/

Pana cand o veti intalni sau reintalni la un suc de rodii sau o cafea („lounge-ul” de la subsol e mereu deschis prietenilor si viitorilor prieteni), va invitam sa o cunoasteti cu energia, zambetul si propriile ei vorbe:

Pregatirea profesionala bazata pe studiile absolvite pe partea de real s-au potrivit mereu cu structura, logica si organizarea mea, insa printre norme bancare, balante comerciale si situatii financiare am inteles la un moment dat necesitatea includerii si in orientarea profesionala a creativitatii si spontaneitatii pentru a satisface sensibilitatea mea pentru estetic, nou si pentru comunicare.

Astfel am ajuns in acel punct al vietii mele in care balanta intre ceea ce acumulez si ceea ce cred este in echilibru. Astazi ma aflu pe drumul care imi ofera posibilitatea de a cultiva acele abilitati ce ma vor duce in pozitia de lider formal care sa imi aduca in viitor satisfactia de a putea ingloba intr-o reteta de succes viziunea, analiza diferitelor comportamente umane, ghidarea, motivatia, caracterul, stilul, strategia si tactica, cresterea unei echipe, diversitatea, managementul timpului, schimbarea si adaptabilitatea, comportamentul organizational.

Intre timp, vom rade impreuna, vom invata, vom descoperi si experimenta lucruri noi, toate acestea catre generarea de emotie, energie, evolutie.

Roddia

Roddia este cea mai neconventionala agentie de marketing experiential cu care am avut contact. Primul lucru care imi trece prin minte cand ma gandesc la Roddia este creativitatea. Totodata profesionalismul este un must in actiunile pe care le desfasuram. Din aceste motive echipa de la Roddia este formata din oameni atat de diferiti, dar care se completeaza reciproc si care genereaza acea omogenitate de care are nevoie orice echipa pentru rezultate memorabile.

Colegii mei sunt oameni extreme de talentati si inzestrati. De la Ana, fluturas colorat, culmea creativitatii, la Adela cea boema si cum spune ea, “minunata”, viitoare miresica, la Carolina – omul care pare sa nu doarma niciodata, implicata "as much as it can gets", pana la Iulia mica, negociatorul nostru, extrem de organizata si atenta la detalii. Am revenit dupa o scurta perioada de absenta si l-am cunoscut si pe Alex, colegul pribeag, dar cu destinatie :), pe care inca il descopar. Puteti sa incercati si voi pe site-ul lui. Este alaturi de noi in actiuni de fiecare data cand are ocazia, este sprijinul nostru din toate punctele de vedere. Managementul este foarte aparte :) Iulia si Mihai despre care sunt multe de spus - dar nu dam din casa :) – si-au pus amprenta asupra perceptiei mele despre ei in primul rand pentru hotararea si taria cu care cred in fiecare lucru pe care il genereaza, de la cele mai mici, la cele mai ample. Acesta este cu siguranta unul din motivele pentru care bulinele rosii se incadreaza atat de bine in logo-ul Roddia, generand experiente memorabile pentru fiecare client al nostru, oameni atat de diferiti.

Daca tot v-am starnit curiozitatea si ati vrea sa ne cunoastem mai bine, ramane deschisa varianta de a bea impreuna un ceai sau un suc de rodii in "lounge-ul" de la subsol, insa pana atunci va invitam si pe site-ul Roddia, dar si pe blog.

Cel mai verde motor de cautare

Protectia mediului inconjurator a devenit o prioritate chiar si pentru dezvoltatorii de motoare de cautare online. Desi este cel mai folosit motor de cautare din lume, Google e departe de a fi unul ecologic, spun redactorii http://ecosia.org/www.itproportal.com. Concurenta vine din partea unor tineri a caror medie de varsta nu depaseste 26 de ani si care au lansat in decembrie 2009 www.ecosia.org – singurul motor de cautare recunoscut de Worldwide Fund for Nature ca fiind cel mai verde din lume.

Potrivit autorilor acestui ambitios proiect, fiecare cautare desfasurata pe www.ecosia.org poate salva pana la 2 grame de dioxid de carbon sau 2 metri patrati de padure tropicala. Prin comparatie, itproportal.com mentioneaza faptul ca o singura cautare pe Google elibereaza in aer o cantitate de dioxid de carbon egala cu cea emisa de un bec in 60 de minute.

Lansat cu softuri Bing si Yahoo, Ecosia a anuntat deja ca 80% din fondurile rezultate din publicitate vor fi donate catre un proiect de reabilitare a padurilor amazoniene, desfasurat de World Wildlife Fund – WWF.

Paradoxul pensiilor in Romania

Să facem următorul calcul (de dragul demonstraţiei, vom presupune că trăim într-o lume în care nu există inflaţie şi în care preţurile, salariile şi taxele sunt îngheţate la nivelul de acum).

Gigel e un tânăr care tocmai se angajează. Ca orice tânăr, salariul lui net de încadrare nu e nici prea prea, nici foarte foarte: să presupunem că e de 1100 de lei.

Gigel are 23 de ani. Întrucât e criză şi criza va dura - să presupunem! - multă vreme de acum încolo, hai să zicem că în 2015 leafa lui Gigel va fi tot de 1100 de lei.

Ia să vedem însă câţi bani plăteşte Gigel CAS-ul timp de 5 ani (adică 60 de luni) la o leafă mizeră de 1100 de lei. Păi la valorile actuale va plăti 491 de lei x 60 de luni, 29.460 lei.

Ei, aici e buba. Gigel are numai 28 de ani şi deja a plătit în contul statului toată suma pe care statul i-ar returna-o în cazul în care ar ieşi la pensie la 65 de ani şi ar mai trăi încă 3-4 ani, cât e speranţa de viaţă a bărbaţilor din România.

Cum aşa? Păi să facem un mic calcul. Dacă nu mă înşel pensia medie din România e undeva pe la 750 de lei. Din contribuţiile date statului până la 28 de ani, Gigel ar putea primi (presupunând că timp de 37 de ani banii săi vor sta undeva într-o valiză, nu într-un cont care îi va multiplica măcar prin dobândă) o pensie medie timp de 29.460 lei /750, 39,28 de luni. Adică peste 3 ani. Păi e numai bine, tanda pe manda: iese la pensie la 65 de ani, mai trăieşte 3 ani şi la 68, după cum zic statisticile, moare!

Totuşi, nimeni nu îi explică lui Gigel, şi nici nouă, ce se întâmplă cu CAS-ul pe care Gigel îl plăteşte între 28 şi 65 de ani, adică timp de 37 de ani. Adică 444 de luni. Presupunând că Gigel va rămâne toată viaţa un tâmpit căruia nu i se va mări niciodată salariul, asta ar însemna că timp de 444 de luni va vărsa în buzunarul statului încă 444 x 491 lei, 218.004 lei. Destul de mult, dacă e să mă întrebaţi pe mine. Şi dacă Gigel, totuşi, e un ins dezgheţat, leafa i se va mări şi cotizaţia la stat va fi pe măsură. Unde se duc banii ăştia? Ce se întâmplă cu ei? Cum e posibil ca după numai 5 ani de muncă, fără un salariu deosebit, orice tânăr să-şi fi acoperit deja pensia medie pe care ar putea-o primi la bătrâneţe, înainte să moară?

De fapt, ce găuri acoperă munca de o viaţă a lui Gigel? Şi de ce trebuie Gigel să muncească 37 de ani pentru ca banii lui să se ducă în altă parte decât în propria bunăstare de după pensionare? Şi cât credeţi că mai poate rezista un sistem în care 5 ani munceşti pentru tine şi 37 de ani pentru o cauză neştiută de nimeni, în afară de politicieni?

In viata profesionala conceptul de angajat ne este foarte familiar. Fie ca reprezentam unul, fie ca dorim sa intram in aceasta categorie, fie ca ii conducem, interactionam zi de zi cu acestia la locul de munca sau chiar si in viata personala. Astfel, am observat ca exista mai multe tipologii de angajati, fiecare avand un stil propriu de lucru si o modalitate aparte de a se raporta la sarcinile pe care le are de indeplinit la locul de munca. Sistemul de valori al unei persoane influenteaza foarte mult si atitudinea la locul de munca. De aceea expertii HR cauta tot mai mult forta de munca a caror seturi de valori sa corespunda cu valorile organizationale, mai mult decat experienta pe un post similar. Perceptia vis a vis de munca difera de la o persoana la alta si totodata nivelul de implicare este diferit.

Majoritatea angajatorilor sunt foarte prudenti, cautand in permanenta forme de motivare atat financiara, cat si non-financiara prin care sa puna in evidenta cele mai eficiente aptitudini ale fiecarui angajat in parte, construind astfel echipe valoroase in cadrul carora membrii sa se completeze reciproc.

Categoria de angajati pentru care caracteristicile task-urilor pe care le au de indeplinit la locul de munca reprezinta ceea ce este esential din punct de vedere professional este caracterizata de o nevoie stringenta de a face ceea ce le place, iar indeplinirea cu success a sarcinilor le ofera satisfactia profesionala. Sunt categoria ideala de angajati care se implica cu pasiune si entuziasm si sunt antrenati de dorinta de a se dezvolta profesional cat mai mult.

Angajatii incadrati in aceasta categorie sunt receptivi si entuziasti in a utiliza fiecare experienta pentru a se dezvolta atat profesional, cat si personal, prin prisma relatiilor interpersonale pe care le stabilesc. O alta trasatura importanta a acestora este proactivitatea. Aceste persoane vor simti in permanenta nevoia de dezvoltare, de noutate, de a face mai mult si a nu se limita doar la sarcinile atribuite. Ei simt nevoia unui aport personal, vor sa faca diferenta la locul de munca si manifesta o atitudine “to do”, dorind sa aiba o viziune de ansamblu asupra business-ului din care fac parte. Aceste persoane au obiective bine stabilite in ceea ce priveste cariera, sunt foarte ambitioase si constiincioase, isi asuma cu usurinta responsabilitati. Pentru ei performantele profesionale contribuie la satisfactia personala.

Care sunt riscurile de care un angajator trebuie sa tina cont in ceea ce priveste aceasta categorie de angajati? Stabilitatea la locul de munca este o conditie necesara. Cu cat locul de munca este mai stabil si ofera posibilitati de dezvoltare, cu atat angajatul se va simti mai confortabil. Acest confort trebuie insa sa se petreaca cu o anumita masura. Astfel, este important ca task-urile sa fie cat mai variate, iar cu trecerea timpului, angajatul trebuie implicat in proiecte noi, variate care sa ii dea acestuia senzatia ca nu se plafoneaza, sa il mentina antrenat. Angajatorul trebuie sa fie transparent cu privire la perspectivele de business si sa il implice pe acesta in deciziile importante, sa ii ofere posibilitatea de a isi expune propriul punct de vedere, motivandu-l astfel sa fie in permanenta orientat spre succesul companiei in care activeaza, si nu doar pe propria persoana.

La pol opus, intalnim categoria de angajati pentru care activitatile profesionale reprezinta doar un instrument care sa le asigure un trai decent. Aceasta tipologie privesc jobul ca pe o necessitate, isi indeplinesc sarcinile pentru ca “cineva trebuie sa le faca”, insa nu sunt motivate de caracteristicile acestora. Persoanele din aceasta categorie considera munca un scop mai mult decat o valoare si nu sunt orientate catre implicare. Avantajul acestei tipologii de angajati este acela ca gestioneaza mult mai bine frustrarile profesionale din cauza nivelului scazut de implicare emotionala.

Aceasta sarbatoare a lui Valentin nu mi se mai pare nici macar ceva comercial, nici macar kitsch ieftin, cat mi se pare, mai direct, mai pe romaneste: o porcarie maxima. Pe langa faptul ca nu cred sub nicio forma ca trebuie sa existe o zi in care sa sarbatoresti afectiunea ce o porti celor apropiati si dragi, 14 februarie mai are si pretentia de a te obliga practic sa faci anumite gesturi fortate. Eu nu stiu cum indragostitii care o sarbatoresc se pot bucura la primirea clasicei inimi de plus rosie ca focul, la soaptele scremute ale iubitului/iubitei care forteaza declaratii de amor nebun, la trandafirul deja ofilit care parca striga tacit: "sunt epuizat, consumat, nu mai reprezint ce eram odata". E ca si cum el/ea i-a spus celuilalt cu o zi inainte: mai adu-mi si mie o floare, mai zi-mi doua vorbe frumoase, iar celalalt se executa. Ce mai e palpitant in asta?

Am citit pe blogul lui Mihai Bendeac un post care mi-a placut. Impartasesc cu voi cateva din ideile acestuia:

Bucurestiul postbelic

M-am intors ieri in Bucuresti, dupa o scurta vizita in orasul de bastina. Inca de pe A2 mi s-a parut ceva suspect, insa de cum am intrat in minunata metropola suspectul s-a transformat in inadmisibil. Ma refer la craterele (gropi ar fi putin spus) aparute ca ciupercile dupa ploaie. Eram montata sa scriu despre asta, iar cand am verificat mailul am primit o alerta cu privire la faptul ca domnul Cosmin Alexandru (pe care am avut deosebita placere sa il cunosc la evenimentul "Leadership Talks" despre care am mentionat in posturile anterioare) a scris pe blogul dansului exact ceea ce cu siguranta gandesc majoritatea soferilor din Bucuresti.

Astfel, sharuiesc mai departe postul "Bombardesti" :

"Eu n-am mers vreodată printr-un oraş cu drumuri bombardate. Dar dacă ar fi să imaginez unul ca decor de film, Bucureştiul de azi ar fi. Gropile de pe toate arterele capitalei nu pot fi făcute de plombe, ci doar de bombe. Sunt denivelări, cratere, surpături, fărâmiţări de asfalt şi pietriş care nu au cum să apară pe timp de pace. Cred că noaptea, cineva arunca în aer drumurile din Bucureşti. Nu-mi dau seama de ce nu auzim bubuiturile dinamitei dar auzim la fiecare metru trozniturile maşinilor gata să se rupă.

Am circulat iarna cu maşina în multe oraşe din Europa. Iarna asta am circulat chiar într-o staţiune montană austriacă. Unde gheaţa, zăpada şi poleiul sunt la ele acasă în fiecare zi. Şi unde, totuşi, drumurile erau curate şi fără gropi. De fapt, fără nicio groapă.

Mi-aduc aminte de un prieten, student englez, care la începutul anilor ’90, venind în România, mi-a mărturisit două nedumeriri pe care le avea despre ţara noastră, care altminteri îi plăcea foarte mult. Prima era legată de noţiunea de “curent” (“se face curent”, “te trage curentul” etc.). Amicul nu înţelegea nici conceptul, nici pericolul. Mi s-a părut o toană. A doua, însă, m-a lăsat mască: omul nu-şi putea explica nici în ruptul capului cum pot exista la noi gropi în vârful podurilor. Pentru el, un pod cu gropi pe el nu făcea parte din setul de realităţi posibile.

Dac-ar vedea Bucureştiul astăzi, n-ar înţelege alt lucru: cum pot o breaslă de drumari şi una de primari să nu construiască nicio strada fără gropi într-un oraş de 2 milioane de locuitori. Dar niciuna! Trebuie să recunoaştem că e nevoie de multă determinare şi perseverenţă. Că drumarii noştri n-au aflat încă soluţia de a aşeza capacul de canal la nivelul asfaltului, nici măcar pe cele mai nou renovate artere, mi se părea până acum un vârf al incompetenţei elementare. Dar că nimeni n-a reuşit în ultimele decenii să aşeze în tot Bucureştiul un strat de asfalt care să reziste la zăpadă, asta “beats me”, cum ar zice englezul meu.

Bucureşti nu e o capitală europeană. Trăim în plin Bombardeşti, un sat mai mare, cu străzi desfundate, la marginea lumii civilizate, aflat în plin război cu sine însuşi. Domnu’ Oprescu, înainte să construiţi mata cu chinezii autostrăzi suspendate cu gropi înfundate, nu vreţi domne’ să concesionăm la austrieci toate străzile din Bucureşti pe o perioadă de 9.999 de ani? Şi la englezi, podurile?"

Ce campanie consideraţi că ar fi cea mai utilă pentru ţara noastră ?

Campania pe care o consider utila mai ales in aceasta perioada este una impotriva clasei politice din Romania, pe care as imbraca-o sub invelisul unei campanii impotriva defaimarii profesionalismului politic si a lipsei de decenta politica a tarii noastre in Europa, daca nu chiar intreaga lume.

As alege ca partener media un post de radio apolitic (daca exista asa ceva) si as include in cadrul emisiunii matinale cateva spoturi audio prin care sa indemn ascultatorii sa opineze cu privire la modul de desfasurare a campaniei electorale din 2009 ( promovarea unui partid si al unui candidat prin defaimarea celuilalt), prin care sa se ajunga la concluzia ca romanii au ajuns in situatia in care aleg raul cel mai mic. Ascultatorii vor intra in direct exprimandu-si puncul de vedere care va fi inregistrat si transpus mai departe in scris in limba engleza pe un site special creat pentru aceasta campanie. Dupa primele postari pe acest site, vom continua in campanie sa il promovam pentru ca publicul sa il poata accesa si exprima in continuare parerea nu doar in cadrul emisiunii, dar si in scris.

In urma colectarii unui numar mare de opinii raportat la populatia totala a Romaniei cu drept de vot, ne propunem ca prin aceasta campanie sa scoatem in evidenta faptul ca majoritatea poporului roman se detaseaza in mod evident de imaginea pe care clasa politica ne-o creeaza in perceptia statelor din Europa.

Romania inseamna mult mai mult decat clasa politica, singura care isi pune momentan amprenta asupra acestei tari. Romania este o tara cu un mare potential: oameni capabili, relief deosebit de darnic dezvoltarii turismului, sol prolific pentru agricultura si asa mai departe. Acest potential este neexploatat benefic pentru dezvoltarea acestei tari si acest lucru este „datorat” in special clasei politice si a imaginii pe care o creeaza Romaniei in lume.

Este nevoie de schimbari majore la acest nivel ca tara noastra sa poate trece la cursul atat de firesc al dezvoltarii. Vom promova mai departe site-ul la nivel international, incercand pe cat posibil sa il facem foarte vizibil in randul comisiei Uniunii Europene. Rezultatul? Chiar daca putin fantasmatic si poate nepatriotic, poate ar fi acela al cuceririi noastre de forte din exterior, cu o mentalitate occidentala care sa vada efectele win-win ale acestei „cotropiri”. Poate pentru multi dintre noi, mai ales noile generatii dornice de a se dezvolta, este singura solutie pe care o mai vedem prin ceata si mazga creata de circul politic la care luam toti parte in ultima perioada.

Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who just won Ukraine's version of "America's Got Talent." She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.

She tells stories through sand.

Here, she recounts Germany conquering Ukraine in the Second World War. She brings calm, then conflict. A couple on a bench become a woman's face; a peaceful walkway becomes a conflagration; a weeping widow morphs into an obelisk for an unknown soldier. Simonova looks like some vengeful Old Testament deity as she destroys then recreates her scenes - with deft strokes, sprinkles and sweeps she keeps the narrative going. She moves the judges to tears as she subtitles the final scene "you are always near".

Simonova is a real piece of work. Her war story has over 400,000 views on YouTube and is provoking an interesting debate in the comments section.

Leaving aside the never less than disturbing thoughts of the YouTube massive, it's clear that Simonova has achieved her goal as an artist. If we take it that art's purpose is to illuminate the world in a new way, provoke a reaction, somehow alter the consciousness of the viewer then her work is a huge success.

Viral Marketing - How words-of-mouse spreads your ideas for free

Marketingul viral se refera la tehnicile de marketing prin care retelele sociale sunt atinse pentru a produce un efect in masa de recunoastere a marcii. Prin reteaua de Internet se poate ajunge la un numar mare de oameni atinsi intr-un timp destul de scurt, spre deosebire de alte tipuri de campanii de marketing.

O strategie a marketingului viral este utilizarea blog-urilor si a altor platforme de relationare cu publicul, utilizandu-se astfel procesul de transmitere al unui mesaj/produs/serviciu/brand din vorba in vorba. Astfel, un principal scop al campaniei de marketing viral este acela de a genera o acoperire mai mare a pietei cu un buget destul de redus in comparatie cu cel al unei campanii publicitare.

Instrumentele marketingului viral sunt de cele mai multe ori sub forma unui joc interactiv, a unui clip amuzant, imagini si texte realizate de o asemenea maniera incat sa atraga atentia publicului si sa il determine sa il impartaseasca mai departe continutul distractiv pe care l-au accesat.

Exista mai multe tipuri de mesaje virale, in functie de ceea ce transmitatorul doreste sa obtina. Astfel, mesajul pass-along incurajeaza receptorul sa trimita mesajul mai departe, creand astfel un lant. Cele mai reusite mesaje sunt filmuletele care prin gradul sporit de interes pe care il creeaza, determina receptorul sa il inainteze in mod spontan si altora. Mesajele „incetivised viral” foloseste tehnica de internet numita „referrals”. Aceasta presupune recompensa pentru furnizarea de adrese. Mesajele de tip „undercover” sunt considerate ca fiind dificil de depistat din pricina faptului ca se prezinta ca o pagina mai putin evidenta, fara redirectionari catre altele. Reclamele „buzz marketing” creeaza controverse incalcand regula bunului simt. Spre exemplu, inaintea lansarii unui film, se lanseaza zvonuri scandaloase prin intermediul internetului despre actori pentru a atrage atentia asupra lor si implicit a filmului ce urmeaza a fi lansat. Un alt tip de mesaj viral poarta denumirea de „anonymyous matching”. Acesta presupune crearea unor conturi pe anumite platforme care sa atraga un numar mare de prieteni/cunostinte virtuale carora mai departe sa le trimita mailuri anonime folosind metoda eCRUSH prin care ii determina pe acestia mai creeze isi faca conturi noi. Dupa acumularea mai multor date de contact, mesajul ce doreste a fi promovat se raspandeste foarte usor intre acestia. O astfel de metoda este utilizata si la crearea bazelor de date pentru cei ce folosesc spam-ul.

Ca si metode de transmisie a mesajeloc virale sunt cunoscute: worf of mouth, reward for referrals, word of IM, word of e-mail sau word of web.

Dar sa trecem la lucruri mai concrete! Pentru asta, doresc sa exemplific o campania de marketing viral care mi-a atras atentia. Acest proiect este desfasurat in Belgia si face referire la condusul preventiv si mai exact la implicatiile raspunsului la telefon in timpul sofatului. Si in Belgia, marea majoritate a accidentelor se petrec pentru ca soferilor le este distrasa atentia de telefonul mobil. Ei bine, ei au pus la cale o campanie prin care sa responsabilizeze soferii in cel mai potrivit mod cu putinta: i-a determinat sa treaca prin experienta unui accident (online insa) din pricina telefonului mobil, mizand pe premise ca pana in momentul in care omul nu constientizeaza experienta unui accident nu isi da seama de importanta condusului preventiv. Campania a incheiat un parteneriat cu site-ul www.garagetv.be (site-ul belgian cel mai popular de video-share), urmarind sa transforme o experienta virala in una cat mai apropiata de cea reala. Astfel, au creat site-ul www.letitring.be unde trebuia sa inregistrezi o adresa de e-mail si un numar de telefon al unui prieten. Acesta urma sa primeasca un e-mail din partea ta cu un link catre un videoclip de pe www.garagetv.be, unde prietenul crede ca urmeaza sa vizioneze desfasurarea unui accident, insa nu asta urma sa se intample. In timp ce prietenul urmareste din perspectiva unui sofer cum conduce, telefonul sau incepe sa sune, iar soferul face un accident. This is how Google looked today, on December 1st, National Day of Romania. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised. I think it was the only thing today that made me realise that this should be and feel like an important day for me. It made me think ... I needed google for this? And if so .. why is that? Did you, Romanians, felt special today?

Are we giving up?

So... the „Leadership Talks 2009” has ended today. I’ve promised to come back with a feedback regarding this event and I’m respecting it.

But first of all, I want to express a personal opinion in what concerns a situation that came up during the talks regardless of who the speaker was or what domain he was coming from. Some of the speakers presented an idealistic picture of the leadership or other life aspects like decisions, goals, becoming what you want to become etc. Some others gave us concrete situations and painted a whole more realistic point of view. But no matter what they were trying to say, something came up in the participant’s attitude, most of them young students or young graduates: a state of frustration and revolt.

We’ve discussed patriotism and I very often heard the question: “What suggestion do you have for the Romanian young generation that is considering leaving the country?”. Always after this question a big pause followed in the speaker’s fluency. Most of them subtly suggested to do it. We are no more wondering why, do we? The majority said that part from themselves are scared that all their future talented youngsters (the ones able to change things) are going to express their gift in a foreign country and for this reason they would encourage us to stay, but thinking at their children and what they hope for them as parents, they would encourage us to go.

Putting away the entire academic attitude and how the society taught us how things should be done, what are we going to do and how are we going to do it and from where to start are the first questions that should be answered. We live in a damaged country witch contaminated the society and our cultural values and principles. Don’t start arguing us that we have a bad, pessimistic attitude, that we complain and do nothing about it, that we are not patriots and responsible enough, because this isn’t the problem. The problem is that this situation which we are dealing with nowadays has two interdependent directions. The short version looks like this:

a) We, the new generation, want to do things and be the change we want to see in the world, but most of our leaders, teachers, tutors have this sickened perspectives, corrupt habits and are stucked in a bunch of patterns.

b) On the other hand, they (our current leaders) need us to be their hope, to make this country a better place for our children and their grandchildren, but they are also the ones who kick us straight in our guts, ambitions and instincts.

Giving this situation, it is obvious that we need to work on both sides simultaneous in order to start healing our plagued fellow citizens, damaged country and hopeless perspectives. To do it on our own, I think there is no more hope giving the fact that this presumes a high level of responsibility awakened in every each of us, simultaneous. And I lost my faith that this can be done because while the youth is having a moment of outrage (which is a great motivation for doing something remarkable, making a difference), our leaders are following their own interests. And when they awake and want to help us, guide us and encourage us (if they ever do that), they find us unmotivated and weak and indifferent, wanting to run away, leaving behind the thought that we were ever enthusiastic and optimistic about changing things around us, making the difference, creating a new, solid, sustainable and healthy start for our own and our children’s future.

Maybe we should be invaded by an outside force, be conquered by another civilization or lead by more evolved societies. But isn’t this sad? Isn’t this cowardice? Isn’t this giving up? Are we so blind and incapable? I think that our ancestors are very disappointed… They stud up in front of enormous conquerors with strength, will and dignity so that we could throw it all away? To lose identity in front of American and West-European cultures? To lose the battleship in front of greed, snobbery, haughtiness, Birkin bags, Rolex watches and BMW vehicles?

I found out three minutes ago that I have just been accepted to Leadership Talks 2009, the second edition. This is an event organized by AIESEC and you may now figure the reason why a previous post of mine was about leadership. It was in fact a part of my application to this event.

Tomorrow’s speakers will be:

1) Razvan Lucescu, Head Coach of the Romanian National Football Team and he will speak about „The Path to Success”

2) Cosmin Alexandru, Managing Partner Brandivia & Co-Founder of AIESEC Romania, speaking about „Creative Leadership”

3) Dana Denis Smith, Managing Director & Founder Marker Global and she will approach an interesting subject, ”Women Leaders - A Matter of Choice”

4) Gabriela Szabo, Athlete, Olimpic Champion, speaking about “Challenge of life”

On the second day of the event, more guests will be giving their opinions regarding Leadership and I am very curious to hear their approach towards this subject, giving the fact that they come from a different business sectors. This will make things even more interesting for the auditors, including myself, obvious :), hearing different opinions and approaches on the same subject :), Leadership.

8 things you didn’t know about orgasm

1. You don’t need genitals to have an orgasm.

A very interesting case was of a woman who experienced orgasm during brushing hear teeth. She went to a neurologist who was fascinated and he checked to see if it was something in the toothpaste, but it happened with any brand. They stimulated her gums with a toothpick, but still, no effect whatsoever. It was the whole motion. Many of us would think that this woman must had an excellent oral hygiene :), but in fact she believed that she was possessed by demons and switched to mouthwash for her oral care.

2. Orgasm can cause bad breath

According to the writer and gynaecologis Theodore Van de Velde, a slight seminal odor can be detected on the breath of a woman within about an hour after sexual intercourse. He wrote in his book, “ideal Marriage”, that he could differentiate between the semen of a young man, which he said had a fresh, exhilarating smell, and the semen of mature men, whose semen smelled “ remarkably like that of the flowers of the Spanish chestnut, sometimes quite freshly floral and sometimes extremely pungent.” I understood that he was a heterosexual.. but also a sperm sniffer as we can see :)

3. You can have orgasms even when you’re dead.

The headquarters for orgasm, along the spinal nerve is something called the sacral nerve root. If you stimulate with an electrode the precise spot you will trigger an orgasm. It is a fact that you can trigger spinal reflexes in brain dead people. One of them is called the Lazarus reflex. Is it possible to trigger an orgasm in a dead person? If the sacral nerve is being oxygenated, you will be surprised to find out that YES YOU CAN.

4. Orgasm can cure the hiccups

In 1999 in the state of Israel a man began hiccupping. This was one of those cases that went on and on. He tried everything his friends suggested. Nothing seemed to help. At a certain point, the man had sex with his wife and stopped. He told his doctor who published a case report in a Canadian medical journal under the title “Sexual Intercourse as a Potential Treatment for Intractable Hiccups”. They also suggested that unattached hiccupers could try masturbation. :))

5. Doctors once prescribed orgasm for fertility

In the early 1900s a lot of gynecologists believed that when a woman has an orgasm the contractions serve to suck the semen up through the cervix and deliver it really quickly to the egg. Moving forward to the 1950s, Masters and Johnson were skeptics regarding this theory and decided to get to the bottom of it. So they brought women into the lab and outfitted them with cervical caps containing artificial semen in which they placed a radio-opaque substance such that it would show up on an X-ray. These women sat in front of an X-ray device masturbating and Masters and Johnson looked to see if the semen was being sucked up. They didn’t find any evidence of upsuck.

There is another funny story that suggests another way that orgasm might boost fertility, but this one involves men :)) Sperm that sit around in the body for a week or more starts to develop abnormalities that make the little guys less effective at head banging their way into the egg. British sexologist Roy Levin has speculated that this is perhaps why men evolved to be such enthusiastic and frequent masturbators. :)) They are maybe telling to themselves: “If I keep tossing myself off I get fresh sperm being made”. So guys, you now have an evolutionary excuse :))

6. Pig farmers still prescribe orgasm for fertility

There is considerable evidence for upsuck in the animal kingdom. In Denmark, the Danish National Committee for Pig Production found out that if you sexually stimulate a sow while you artificially inseminate her you will see a six-percent increase in the fertility rate. So, they had the farmers stimulate the sow, sometimes by hand and also standing on top of the sow (simulating this way the male pig), while artificially inseminating her. Poor farmers….

7. Studying human orgasm in a lab is not easy

The same Masters and Johnson that I mentioned earlier decided in 1950s to figure out the entire human sexual response cycle from arousal all the way through orgasm, in both men and women. The problem was that with women a lot of this is happening inside, but this did not stop Masters and Johnson J. They developed an artificial machine, something like a penis camera on a motor and the woman would have sex with it. Don’t you find this awkward or it’s just me?

8. Observation of In-Utero Masturbation

A couple of images were published in The Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. The title was „Observation of In-Utero Masturbation”. There were published two pictures. In the first one you could see the hand of a fetus hovering near the penis. In the second picture you could see the hand grasping the penis. These pictures were part of an ultrasound so it would have been moving images, not just only two pictures being part of a coincidence. Orgasm is a reflex of the autonomic nervous system. This is the part of the nervous system that deals with the things that we don’t consciously control, like digestion, heart rate, sexual arousal.

Leadership - Different Aproach

Let’s together imagine an orchestra concert. An orchestra conductor faces the ultimate leadership challenge: creating perfect harmony without saying a word.

So, we are sitting there, in the crowd, enjoying the music. Who should be thanked for the success of an orchestra? Obviously, the orchestra musicians. They don’t even look at the conductor. And then you have the clapping audience which takes part. We can have different type of auditors. Usually the audience doesn’t interfere with the music, but imagine an extraordinary concert in which the public takes part to the whole picture through their reactions, clapping their hands, swinging their heads.

But what about the conductor? What can we say the conductor is actually doing? He directs the musicians, he is dancing, he is enjoying the music, he is happy. There can be different types of reactions in the conductor attitude. He can be very authoritative or commanding, always enthusiastic, efficiently criticizing the musicians with subtle signs which the audience doesn’t notice. He can be very energetic or he can just stand still, creating an imposing posture. He can be any of this situations described above, but overall he is a visionary, under his glance the musicians work together, creating a beautiful and complex sound, just like the conductor feels it and transmits it to them through body language.

So, how does he do it? Isn’t this the supreme leadership challenge? :)

Consiliul Roman pentru Cladiri Verzi este o asociatie non-profit ce are ca scop incurajarea conditiilor de piata, educationale si legislative necesare pentru promovarea constructiilor performante care sunt atat sustenabile, cat si profitabile.

RoGBC isi propune transformarea pietei si implementarea unei noi generatii de cladiri eco. Dezvoltarea in aceasta directie are nevoie de experti in domeniu si de aceea consiliul va facilita accesul la cele mai moderne programe de training si va sustine dezvoltarea unui set adecvat de masuri legislativare care sa promoveze constructiile sustenabile si sa asigure o rata a rentabilitatii atractiva.

RoGBC sustine dezvoltarea industriei constructiilor verzi in efortul de a pozitiona Romania ca un lider in sectorul constructiilor sustenabile din regiune.

Subiectul acestui concurs este abordarea creativa a conceptului de renovare verde a unei cladiri. Scopul este crearea proiectului de renovare a unui apartament sau a unei locuinte uni-familiale tipice pentru mediul romanesc, in vederea crearii unui spatiu de locuit mai bun, atat in ceea ce priveste eficienta consumului de energie, calitatea aerului interior, confortul, cat si in ceea ce priveste impactul asupra mediului. Deadline-ul pentru trimiterea proiectelor este 11 Noiembrie 2009.
